If vendors require a student’s personal information in order to deliver our service, these third parties are obligated to adhere to Code EMR’s  commitments to data use and security as stated within this privacy policy.

Clinical Documentation and medical coding services: Code EMR services involve providing healthcare providers with secure telemedicine applications that enable them to receive assistance via a remote scribe to document a clinical encounter into a patient’s Electronic Health Records (EHR) and provide medical coding services. CodeEMR services save healthcare providers time, allow them to better focus on the patient, and improve the quality of medical documentation. When we provide these services, we are subject to a federal medical privacy law called HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act). Users of our services must agree to additional terms in order to use our services in compliance with HIPAA. We are classified as a Business Associate under HIPAA, and that law’s protections apply to all patient information we access.
